A native Houstonian, Pat graduated from the University of Houston in 1981 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. He received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 1984.

In 1992, he became the regional traffic defense provider for Prepaid Legal Services across Texas. Today Pat represents more than 18 plans across the country. He is also a founding member of the Municipal Justice Bar Association of Texas and the chief administrator of the Traffic Lawyers of Texas Continuing Education program for the State of Texas and is very active in the legislature. His involvement repealed unconstitutional surcharges for traffic and DUI convictions, resulting in millions of Texas residents being able to reinstate their driver’s licenses.

Pat is the presiding judge of the City of Jamaica Beach, Texas and is the current associate judge of the texas cities of Manvel, Arcola and
Clear lake shores. He is also the city prosecutor of the cities of Taylor Lake Village and Stafford, Texas.

Pat is a member of the Board of Directors and past President of the Group Legal Services Association which is associated with the American Bar Association. Pat is committed to access to justice for all citizens in the State of Texas.
